Come out to Republic for some laughs with Carrey B, JD Sledge, James Cusimano, Scott Schneider and Dane Faucheux on Friday, August 8th. Doors are at 7:30 and the show starts at 8:30. Advance tickets are $15 or $20 at the door. 
Carrey B. is an extraordinary comedian and entertainer. Using his creative ability to transform real life issues into comedic conversation he causes his audience to engage into continuous laughter. He is already immensely popular in the state of Louisiana and is best known for hosting and producing "Comedy Catfish & Cornbread". Carrey B leaves his audience rolling in laughter. Griffin, Arnez J, Mark Curry, Cheryl Underwood, The Isley Brothers and Pattie Labelle to name a few. He's been seen on BET's Comic View, and has been featured in several movies--the latest being Jeremy's Family Reunion starring (Tom Joyners) Ms Dupre and Wonderful World with Matthew Broderick where he plays a comedian in the movie. 
J.D. Sledge was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and does most of his performing in the Metropolitan Area thereof. He has appeared at such well-known venues as the House of Blues, Tipitina’s, and Houston’s Laff Stop, O.K. so every so often he ventures out a bit. J.D. has an unmistakable style of delivering smart, relatable humor that can best be summed up in 3 words: intense, intense, and intense! Much of J.D.’s comedic motivation is the turbulent reconciliation of a childhood spent on the sofa watching TV colliding with the real world challenges of adulthood. J.D. promises to give you the most for your entertainment dollar, while making you laugh the whole way home…and maybe even the next day at work. J.D. Sledge is a long-standing member of the New Orleans comedy community and the Co-producer of the Comedy Fusion Revival Tour.
James Cusimano is a native New Orleanian who currently resides in Metairie, LA. He attended Jesuit High School in New Orleans and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Louisiana State University. James starting performing stand up comedy in July 2006. Since a very young age, James has always had a deep love for comedy. He enjoys incorporating impressions of celebrities and dialects of local characters that he has met during his time growing up in New Orleans. Some of his comedic influences include Rodney Dangerfield, Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler, Richard Pryor, Don Rickles, David Letterman, Andrew Dice Clay, Chevy Chase, Fozzie Bear, and his father Frank Cusimano, who is also a local actor. James is a consistent performer at stand up comedy shows around the city. Along with being a performer, James is also a producer/promoter of The Comedy Fusion Revival Tour which showcases great local comedic talent in New Orleans.
Dane Faucheux has performed for audiences all over the Southeast. His comedy has been described as eccentric, daring, and fun by The Austin Chronicle. Dane Faucheux is coming to your town. When Dane Faucheux gets to your town, he will tell jokes.
